BARATiLLO
Baratillo takes its name from the infamous “smuggler’s market” in Peru — and like all best market finds, this fabric is a rare acquisition. The fabric is woven from twisted cotton and jute yarns on a handloom. Sewers then cut the cloth, piece it together, and embroider each ridge where the panels join, creating a substantial textile with a hearty rug-like texture.
