In ancient times, the wanderers of the Mediterranean coast traded tales of the Chimera, a mythological creature born of primordial nightmares. She was said to possess the strong back of a lion, and from it sprouted the fierce head of a fire-breathing goat. Her tail – a serpent – cracked like a whip in the crystalline air, spitting venom at the unwary traveler and those brave or foolish enough to try and tame her. Inspired by this marvelous beast, Chimera’s weft has the muscular density of a great cat’s pelt with thick slubs reeding through its pile with an unexpected ferocity. It summons emotions of wonder and delight, igniting the imagination.
