Washi’s sheer weave is an ode to the eponymous Japanese papercraft. Soft under-layers of mulberry bark are harvested to create translucent sheets with an apparent delicacy that belies its strength. In a nod to the heritage craft, Washi is rich in texture with a flaxen iridescence that beckons the light to play.
