SARASA

SARASA

At first sight, Sarasa feels a bit unfamiliar — a bit difficult to place. Its lyrical flowers and leaves are adapted from a 19th century Indian work created for the Japanese textile trade. Exotic flora unfurled, it encapsulates one culture’s restrained sense of beauty with the other’s expressive voice. Sarasa is a snapshot in time; it is a vision of Japan in a particular moment, rendered through a distinct lens from afar.
