Woven in wool, then felted, Amitan is a lyrical interpretation of a centuries-old, resist-dyed felt rug from Mongolia. Loosely twisting around one another, the animals in Amitan exist together. Each shape and curve is dependent on the others — symbolic of the sacred connection between all beings.
