Ruudukko — the Finnish word for grid — conducts molten color along its endlessly criss-crossing pathways — our eyes in hot pursuit. Tracing, chasing, converging — a vast urban espalier! Branches ladder and lattice, lighting up the buds of its circuitry — Nature’s interfolding network. Like neural walkways and wanderings, from each petal-stop, each twig-turn of the trellis grows the next. But here are openings too — frames and apertures to pause at, forks in the road, manifold windows to adventures as yet unmapped.
